A New Era in Blood Collection: Metropolis’ UltraTouch™ PBBCS Prioritizes Patient Comfort

Metropolis Healthcare Limited has introduced the UltraTouch™ Push Button Blood Collection Set (PBBCS) across its service network. Featuring a thinner needle, the PBBCS aims to make blood collection more comfortable, especially for first-time patients, children, and the elderly. This advanced device also enhances the speed, safety, and efficiency of the collection process.

Surendran Chemmenkotil, CEO of Metropolis Healthcare Limited, stated, “Our commitment to quality and innovation drives us to continuously improve patient care. The UltraTouch PBBCS is a significant step forward, enhancing comfort and safety during blood collection while ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic results.”

As reported by economictimes, a study evaluated the UltraTouch PBBCS at Metropolis Healthcare’s Global Reference Laboratory in Mumbai over a one-month period. The findings showed that over 90% of participants experienced minimal discomfort, with no signs of hemolysis. The study also confirmed that key laboratory parameters, including potassium, iron, and haemoglobin levels, remained consistent, highlighting the device’s ability to reduce pain while ensuring reliable blood samples and minimizing needle-related injuries.
