Pioneering Advanced Vein Care in North India

Aakash Healthcare Super Specialty Hospital, in collaboration with Medtronic, has launched the Aakash Vein Clinic—North India’s first dedicated center for vein care. This specialized clinic aims to provide minimally invasive treatments for vein-related conditions, enhancing patient recovery and long-term health outcomes.

Inauguration and Strategic Partnership

As reported by economictimes, the inauguration event at Aakash Healthcare, Dwarka, brought together leading healthcare professionals, doctors, and industry experts. A key milestone of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Aakash Healthcare and Medtronic, reinforcing their commitment to delivering cutting-edge vascular treatments.

Addressing a Growing Health Concern

Vein-related conditions, such as varicose veins and deep vein thrombosis, affect a significant portion of the population but often go untreated until complications arise. Research from North India indicates that 46.7% of women and 27.8% of men suffer from varicose veins. However, many delay treatment due to a lack of awareness or access to specialized care.

Expert Insights on Vein Disorders

Dr. Meinal Chaudhry, Director of Radiodiagnosis & Interventional Radiology at Aakash Healthcare, highlighted the common misconception that varicose veins are merely a cosmetic issue. In reality, untreated cases can lead to chronic pain, swelling, skin changes, and severe complications. “Many patients struggle for years, consulting multiple doctors and receiving only temporary relief. The Aakash Vein Clinic aims to provide a permanent solution with specialized and effective treatments,” she explained.

With this initiative, Aakash Healthcare and Medtronic are setting a new benchmark for vein care in North India. They aim to ensure patients receive timely, effective, and advanced treatment options.
