The workshop featured two successful complex cases, showcasing the hospital’s advanced capabilities:

  1. Reopening a Chronically Occluded Artery: A patient with a 100% occluded old stent, who had undergone previous angioplasty, was treated using advanced hardware and expertise from Dr. Agarwal and the Japanese team. The artery was successfully reopened, restoring blood flow.
  2. Managing a Major Heart Attack: Another patient, suffering from a heart attack due to spontaneous dissection, was treated using intravascular imaging. With precise stent deployment, the team restored blood supply to the heart. Both patients were stabilized and discharged.

Dr. Nagamatsu highlighted the importance of such collaborations, stating, “The growing prevalence of heart diseases necessitates a skilled and well-trained medical community. This partnership with Dr. Agarwal and Aakash Healthcare ensures global advancements in cardiovascular care.”

As reported by medicalbuyer, the Indo-Japanese collaboration represents a milestone for the field, particularly benefiting cardiac patients in West Delhi and Dwarka, by making world-class expertise and state-of-the-art resources accessible locally. Aakash Healthcare continues to lead efforts in medical education, international collaboration, and cutting-edge patient care, ensuring the next generation of cardiologists is equipped to meet global challenges in cardiovascular health.
