Aerogen Expands into India with New Headquarters in Delhi

Aerogen, a global leader in acute-care aerosol drug delivery solutions, has launched its India headquarters in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Ireland’s Minister for Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, James Lawless, inaugurated the office during his visit to India on St. Patrick’s Day.

Enhancing Access to Aerosol Drug Delivery in India

With over 55 million Indians affected by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and an increasing burden of respiratory illnesses, Aerogen aims to improve access to its advanced vibrating mesh nebulizer technology. Already in use across Europe and the USA, this technology is set to support Indian healthcare providers in delivering better respiratory care.

Strengthening India-Ireland Collaboration in Healthcare

Speaking at the inauguration, Minister James Lawless emphasized the significance of this expansion in strengthening the healthcare ties between India and Ireland. “This milestone reinforces our shared commitment to healthcare innovation. Aerogen’s decision to establish a presence in India reflects the country’s rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem. We look forward to fostering cross-border collaborations that benefit both nations,” he stated.

Building a Strong Local Team

Aerogen’s India headquarters will serve as the operational hub for its growing team. The company is starting with 14 employees and plans to expand to 30 within the next five years. The team will include a country director, marketing professionals, commercial sales specialists, and clinical experts to drive Aerogen’s mission in India.
