Aster CMI Hospital in Bengaluru Achieves Platinum Certification for Digital Health Standards

Aster DM Healthcare proudly announces that Aster CMI Hospital in Bengaluru has become the first hospital in South India to achieve Platinum Certification for Digital Health Standards from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). This accomplishment also makes it the first hospital in Karnataka to be accredited under NABH’s new digital standards framework.

The NABH Digital Health Standards, introduced in 2023, assess hospitals based on their digital maturity and integration of advanced healthcare technologies. These standards aim to enhance clinical care quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency through digital health processes.

Aster CMI Hospital has implemented several key digital health initiatives that contributed to this accreditation. These include a comprehensive Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system for secure patient data management, an Online Quality Management System for real-time monitoring and compliance, and Aster Insight, a feedback mechanism to improve patient services. The hospital also extends healthcare access through telemedicine services, ensuring continuity of care in remote areas. Other initiatives like an online incident management system, Oracle-based inventory management, lab information systems, digital payments, and remote patient monitoring were pivotal in achieving this accreditation.

Dr. Nitish Shetty, CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, India, expressed pride in this recognition, stating that it reflects the team’s dedication to patient care and safety. He emphasized the hospital’s commitment to delivering innovative healthcare solutions and continuously improving standards.

Earlier this year, Aster CMI Hospital was also honored with the Best Contact Centre of the Year 2024-2025 award at the BPO & Contact Centre Summit and Awards 2024, underscoring its commitment to exceptional patient service and operational excellence.
