Strategic Investment Aligned with Kerala’s Growth Vision

Aster DM Healthcare, a leading integrated healthcare provider in India, is reinforcing its long-term commitment to Kerala through strategic investments and expansion. As part of the state’s ‘Invest Kerala Global Summit’ initiative, Aster’s leadership met with Kerala Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan and Minister of Law, Industries, and Coir, Shri P Rajeev, to discuss the current healthcare landscape and explore opportunities for growth and innovation.

₹850 Crore Investment to Enhance Infrastructure and Services

Over the next three years, Aster plans to invest ₹850 crore in Kerala, building on the ₹500 crore already invested in the past three years. This additional funding will expand infrastructure, enhance medical services, and generate employment opportunities, solidifying Aster’s leadership in the state’s healthcare sector.

Expanding Bed Capacity and Strengthening Healthcare Facilities

Currently, Aster operates seven hospitals in Kerala with a total capacity of 2,635 beds, contributing 53% of the company’s India revenue for the first nine months of FY25. With its aggressive expansion plan, Aster aims to increase bed capacity to 3,453 by FY27.

This growth will be driven by two new greenfield projects:

  • Aster Capital Trivandrum: A 454-bed facility
  • Aster MIMS Kasargod: A 264-bed hospital

Additionally, Aster Medcity, the company’s flagship hospital, will expand to 962 beds by FY27. In Q3 FY25, 100 new beds were added to Aster Medcity’s existing capacity, further reinforcing Aster’s leadership in Kerala’s healthcare sector.
