Philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates met Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Wednesday to assess the ongoing collaboration between the Indian government and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in the healthcare sector.

Discussions on AI and Predictive Analytics

Gates also engaged in discussions with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu about leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and predictive analytics to enhance service delivery in healthcare, education, agriculture, and employment generation.

Nadda Acknowledges Gates Foundation’s Support

In a post on X, Nadda praised India’s progress in maternal health, immunization, and sanitation, attributing much of the success to the Gates Foundation’s contributions.

“I met Mr. Bill Gates during his visit to India today. We discussed India’s remarkable achievements in healthcare, particularly in maternal health, immunization, and sanitation, through our collaboration with the Foundation. I also acknowledged the Foundation’s valuable support in strengthening health systems and implementing impactful initiatives,” Nadda stated.

As reported by theweek, He further emphasized India’s commitment to renewing the memorandum of cooperation to ensure affordable, accessible, and high-quality healthcare for all.
