Digital Health Card for 1765 School Children in UP

The Urban Development Department in Uttar Pradesh and Lucknow Smart City has started a school health programme. The state administration on Saturday made a statement that included this information.

As part of the initiative, a digital health report card for the general physical and mental health of 1765 municipal school pupils is also being created. These kids are also receiving the advantage of health insurance worth Rs 25,000 in addition to this. Following the successful conclusion of the pilot project, the programme is expected to be adopted in the state’s other 9 smart cities, according to a statement from the state administration.

According to Dr. S. Haider, the Director of Stufit, there is a 30 to 35-person mobile health team made up of doctors, paramedics, health volunteers, and team coordinators who individually assess each child in accordance with their area of specialization and create a digital health report card for the kids. No school in India now offers students a digital health report card or access to health insurance.

He continued by saying that three municipal schools, namely Aminabad Inter College, Kashmiri Mohalla Girls Inter College, and Kashmiri Mohalla Montessori School, have been entrusted with the duty of performing health examinations on 1765 kids as part of this pilot initiative. Desk-to-desk examinations of the youngster are being conducted by the team as they create digital health cards.

Each kid will receive a special ID card that will allow their parents, school, and administrative personnel to download this health card. Every six months, the Digital Health Report is also followed up on. A health cover cashless card of Rs 25,000 can be used to pay for a child’s medical care if he or she is admitted to the hospital owing to illness.

This innovative project of Lucknow Smart City Limited will increase children’s academic performance and physical and mental health as a consequence of improved physical and mental health, which would also boost their future possibilities.

130 factors are being used to create the digital health report card. Every aspect of children’s physical therapy is examined, including posture, endurance, and other factors like these. In addition to this, children’s eyes are tested for color blindness, eye illnesses, and vision problems, and if corrective lenses are needed, glasses are given. Additionally, which is not done in any health camp, children’s dental and oral health as well as their listening and speaking skills are checked.

Additionally, workshops on child psychology, first aid, health, and cleanliness are being held.
