Jupiter Life Line Hospitals (Jupiter Hospital) has announced plans to establish a 300-bed greenfield hospital on an 8,433-square-meter land parcel in Ghodbunder-Mira Road, Thane. The project involves an investment of ₹400 crore and is expected to be completed in four years. The facility will cater to underserved areas, including Dahisar, Mira Bhayandar, and Vasai Virar municipal regions.
As reported by economictimes, the land acquisition, funded through internal accruals, was disclosed in a statement to stock exchanges.
Expansion Plans
Jupiter currently operates 1,061 beds across its hospitals in Thane, Pune, and Indore. The healthcare chain aims to expand its total capacity to 2,500 beds within the next four years, supported by a capital expenditure plan of ₹300 crore each in FY2025 and FY2026, excluding the Ghodbunder-Mira Road project.
Ongoing Projects
Jupiter’s Dombivli hospital, a 500-bed facility, has already received ₹120-125 crore in initial investments, with an additional ₹200-250 crore allocated for its first phase. Construction on the chain’s second hospital in Pune is set to commence this year.
Jupiter offers a range of tertiary care services across its multi-speciality hospitals, with no significant revenue dependency on a single speciality. The new Thane hospital underscores the group’s commitment to addressing regional healthcare needs and expanding its presence in underserved areas.
