Gleneagles Hospital Mumbai has expanded its Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) program to include specialized pediatric services, addressing the rising demand for advanced pediatric care. This initiative aims to offer comprehensive BMT services for children, providing new treatment options for pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions.

The pediatric BMT program is led by Dr. Ruchira Misra, a renowned pediatric hematologist-oncologist and transplant physician. With her extensive experience and compassionate approach, Dr. Misra is expected to significantly impact young patients and their families.

Dr. Misra expressed excitement about the new services, noting that pediatric BMTs can cure various conditions such as relapsed blood cancers, neuroblastomas, thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, and Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome. She emphasized that these treatments require specialized care, which Gleneagles Hospital is well-equipped to provide.
