On 9th September 2024, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the Green Pharma City, which is being developed across the Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar districts, will be established as a hub for drug manufacturing, biotechnology, and life sciences companies. In addition to these developments, there will be a focus on research and development, with plans for a specialized university dedicated to research, training, and skill development. The CM proposed offering courses in healthcare and pharmaceuticals to boost employment opportunities.
