Hyderabad Valves 2024 Highlights Breakthroughs in Non-Surgical Valve Replacement Techniques

The third edition of Hyderabad Valves, a key event focused on advancing non-surgical valve replacement techniques such as TAVI, TMVR, and TPVR, concluded today at The Park Hyatt, Hyderabad. Established in 2019, the event has become a prominent platform for innovation in structural heart interventions.

This year’s edition was dedicated to the memory of Prof. Alain Cribier, the pioneer who performed the world’s first transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in 2002. Prof. Cribier’s legacy of training professionals worldwide in this transformative procedure was honored with a meticulously curated scientific program.

Dr. P. C. Rath, Senior Cardiologist and Course Director of Hyderabad Valves, emphasized that the event’s comprehensive agenda was designed to equip participants with the insights and skills necessary to develop or enhance structural heart programs in their respective cities.

Following the global pandemic, this year’s gathering returned in full force, providing a valuable opportunity for professionals to connect, collaborate, and learn from leading experts in the field. The two-day program featured in-depth discussions on 12 complex structural heart cases, with contributions from top cardiovascular surgeons and interventional cardiologists from India and around the world.

One of the key highlights of Hyderabad Valves 2024 was the broadcast of over 25 live case studies, including six from Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The program also covered advanced topics such as TAVR using various valve platforms, TAVR Valve-in-Valve with valve fracture techniques, TMVR with LAMPOON, BASILICA, and more.

As per the press release, Dr. Manoj Kumar Agarwala, Senior Cardiologist and Course Director, reflected on the event’s success, noting that it marked a significant step forward in the growth of the field. Participants returned with fresh expertise and new perspectives to elevate their practices.
