Genrobotics, a leading robotics company, unveiled the G-Gaiter Paediatric, India’s first robotic-assisted gait trainer for children with mobility challenges, including those with cerebral palsy. Kerala Health Minister Veena George launched the innovative device during a ceremony at the C-DAC auditorium in Technopark on Friday.

The first unit was handed over to Sabith Umer, Vice-Chairman of the Kannur-based charitable organization Thanal Group, according to an official release.

The G-Gaiter Paediatric combines advanced Virtual Reality (VR) technology with interactive, real-time games, creating an engaging therapy environment for children. It is designed to improve the quality of rehabilitative care for young patients with gait disabilities.

At its core is Genrobotics’ patented GPLOT Exoskeleton Technology, which facilitates precise robotic gait therapy to help children develop natural walking patterns. Additionally, the device’s Intelligent Therapy Mode aids in relearning motor skills, enhancing muscle coordination, and improving overall functional mobility.

With its child-friendly design, the G-Gaiter Paediatric ensures comfort and accessibility, providing an enhanced rehabilitation experience tailored to individual patient needs, the release stated.
