Lilavati Hospital has announced the establishment of a cutting-edge Cancer Care Institute, featuring a 300-bed facility that promises to revolutionize cancer treatment in India. The institute aims to provide world-class care, utilizing advanced technology, personalized treatments, and global best practices to address the growing burden of cancer.

The announcement was made during the #LilavatiInitiatives program, attended by prominent leaders, including Shri Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Shri Prakash Abitkar, Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare; Shri Ashish Shelar, Minister of Information and Technology; Shri Pratap Sarnaik, Minister of Transport; Dr. Shrikant Shinde, Member of Parliament; and several trustees of Lilavati Hospital.

As per the press release, the new facility will provide tailored treatments, eliminating the need for patients to seek care abroad, thereby saving time and costs. In addition to exceptional patient care, the Cancer Care Institute will generate numerous job opportunities for healthcare professionals, researchers, and support staff, boosting the local economy and advancing Mumbai’s healthcare sector.

Collaboration with Mayo Clinic for Nursing Excellence

As part of its vision for comprehensive healthcare, Lilavati Hospital has partnered with the Mayo Clinic to launch the Nursing Excellence Program.
