Metropolis Healthcare Acquires Ahujas’ Pathology & Imaging Centre for ₹35.01 Crore

Metropolis Expands Presence in Uttarakhand

On Monday, Metropolis Healthcare Ltd announced the acquisition of Ahujas’ Pathology and Imaging Centre (DAPIC) in Dehradun for ₹35.01 crore. The company signed a business transfer agreement to complete the deal.

Wholly-Owned Subsidiary to Lead Acquisition

The acquisition will be executed by Metropolis Histoxpert Digital Services Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metropolis. The deal, structured as an all-cash transaction, will give Metropolis 100% ownership of DAPIC.

Established Legacy of DAPIC

Founded in 1990 by Alok Ahuja and Alka Ahuja, DAPIC has built a solid reputation for diagnostic excellence. It operates two NABL- and NABH-accredited laboratories, along with 11 patient service centres and nine hospital-based centres.

Founders to Stay Onboard

To ensure a smooth transition, Alok and Alka Ahuja will continue their association with the business after the acquisition. This move aims to maintain continuity and preserve patient trust.

As reported by business-standard, according to Ameera Shah, Promoter and Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare, “Ahujas’ Pathology & Imaging Centre has earned a strong reputation for quality B2C services, scientific excellence, and patient trust—making it a perfect fit for our growth strategy.”
