Stanley Hospital, Chennai revamped, to launch master health checkup services for ₹1000

The Government Stanley Medical College Hospital has received a spate of new patient amenities. According to Health Minister Ma. Subramanian, the hospital would provide master health checkup services, which include tests for diabetes, hypertension, renal and liver diseases, and thyroid function, among many others, for as low as Rs. 1,000.

The hospital has invested 2.5 crores on mammography equipment to diagnose breast cancer. In addition, at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh, ten operating theatres were rebuilt, and a pain-relieving therapy centre was established. The college’s library was restored for a total of 75 lakh rupees.

Mementos were also presented to non-governmental organizations, senior doctors, and nurses on the occasion for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, the Minister attended a Besant Nagar beach awareness event organised by Rela Hospital and Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwarya Vishwa Vidyalaya to promote an addiction-free Tamil Nadu.
