Healthium Medtech, a leading global player in medical devices specializing in surgical and post-surgical solutions—including wound closure, advanced wound care, arthroscopy, and infection prevention—has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC). The HSSC, a non-profit organization supported by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and key stakeholders across healthcare providers, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics in both public and private sectors, aligns with the “Skill India” initiative, a flagship program under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Anish Bafna, CEO and MD of Healthium Medtech, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “Healthium has always been committed to fostering excellence in healthcare by equipping professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary for success. This collaboration with HSSC allows us to broaden our reach in skill development, creating practical, industry-relevant training that enhances patient care. By providing advanced, hands-on training to healthcare workers, we aim to build a skilled and confident workforce capable of addressing the complexities of modern medical practice and delivering superior patient outcomes.”
As per the press release, the MoU was formalized in New Delhi, with senior representatives from both organizations present. Healthium and HSSC will collaborate on designing and implementing training programs focused on skilling, reskilling, and upskilling healthcare workers to better address the evolving demands of the sector.
Ashish Jain, CEO of the Healthcare Sector Skill Council, emphasized the strategic significance of the collaboration: “Partnering with Healthium Medtech supports our mission to enhance healthcare standards in India by developing a skilled, adaptable workforce. HSSC is devoted to cultivating a competent healthcare workforce that meets top industry standards and adapts to the sector’s changing needs. Healthium’s dedication to innovation and high-quality training makes them an ideal partner in our endeavor to raise the bar for healthcare skills. Together, we aim to set a new standard for skill development, empowering India’s youth with employable skills across industries and building a stronger, more resilient healthcare system.”
As part of the partnership, Healthium Medtech and HSSC will co-develop specialized training programs and comprehensive training modules tailored to the unique skills required in the healthcare sector. Healthium will conduct training sessions throughout the year, reinforcing its commitment to healthcare education while supporting HSSC’s mission of expanding the network of quality educational providers within India’s healthcare landscape.
