A scientific study uncovered the remarkable effectiveness of the Ayurvedic Whole System (AWS) in managing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), a chronic autoimmune disease that affects millions globally.

The research reveals that AWS not only mitigates the symptoms of RA but also promotes a metabolic shift towards normalization in patients, offering a promising complementary therapy to conventional treatments.

The study was carried out by a team of senior researchers from renowned institutions, including the Arthritis Treatment and Advanced Research Center (A-ATARC), Department of Kaya Chikitsa at State Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Lucknow University; Centre of Biomedical Research (CBMR), SGPGIMS Campus, Lucknow; and the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad.

Significant improvements were observed in key clinical parameters among RA patients who received AWS treatment. Notably, there was a marked reduction in the Disease Activity Score-28 Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (DAS-28 ESR) and a decrease in the number of swollen and tender joints. Additionally, the Ama Activity Measure (AAM) Score, which evaluates toxin levels in the body, also showed a considerable decline after the intervention.

Despite these encouraging results, the study’s authors stress the need for further research to validate these initial findings and to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms by which AWS exerts its therapeutic effects.

As reported by biospectrumindia.com, the advancement highlights the potential of combining traditional ayurvedic practices with modern medical treatments to enhance patient outcomes in chronic conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis.
