Amid a sharp rise in cancer cases across India, TGH OncoLife Cancer Hospital, in collaboration with V Care Foundation, has launched the ‘OncoLife Yoddha’ Patient Support Group. This pioneering initiative aims to address the physical, emotional, and psychological challenges faced by cancer patients, survivors, and their families by providing a platform for sharing experiences, learning, and mutual support.

As per the press release, the inaugural meeting of the support group saw participation from over 35 patients, survivors, and caregivers. The event featured an uplifting laughter yoga session led by Mr. Ashok Bhakare and his team, alongside an inspiring talk by Dr. Neha Kulkarni, Director of CSR, on overcoming life’s challenges. Ms. Vandana Gupta, Founder of V Care Foundation and a breast cancer survivor, also shared her journey of resilience and hope. The launch was attended by Sachin Deshmukh, Managing Director of OncoLife Hospital, and Dr. Santosh Sahu, Centre Head.

“The ‘OncoLife Yoddha’ Patient Support Group is a testament to our commitment to holistic cancer care,” said Mr. Deshmukh. “This initiative aims to build a community where patients and survivors feel supported and empowered in their fight against cancer.
