Thyrocare, one of India’s leading diagnostic and preventive healthcare service providers, has become the first national diagnostic chain to secure 100% NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accreditation across all 29 of its laboratories. This milestone highlights Thyrocare’s commitment to ensuring high-quality and reliable diagnostic services.
The achievement was celebrated during a special event at Thyrocare’s national reference laboratory in Navi Mumbai, where NABL dignitaries lauded the company’s efforts. Attendees included Mr. Pankaj Johri, Director at NABL, and other senior officials who praised Thyrocare’s robust infrastructure, advanced analyzers, and diverse test menu.
“From 2022 to 2024, Thyrocare achieved NABL accreditation for 25 additional labs, reaching 100% accreditation for all 29 labs. This is an incredible feat,” said Mr. Johri. He emphasized that Thyrocare’s high daily sample load of 70,000 highlights the critical importance of maintaining gold-standard accuracy through stringent quality measures.
As per the press release, the achievement also drew commendations from industry leaders. Mr. Chakravarthy T. Kannan, Secretary General of the Quality Council of India (QCI), recognized Thyrocare as a quality ambassador in line with India’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” mission, aimed at establishing global competitiveness in quality infrastructure.
Thyrocare’s journey to achieving this milestone involved a transformative 12-point quality roadmap. Measures included strict sample collection protocols, maintaining cold-chain logistics, regular equipment upgrades, and expert verification of reports by MD pathologists. These initiatives are part of Thyrocare’s broader mission to deliver affordable and reliable diagnostics, trusted by 90% of doctors, according to a third-party survey published in the IJARIIT National Journal.
Commenting on the accomplishment, Thyrocare MD & CEO Rahul Guha said, “This milestone reflects our mission to provide high-quality, affordable diagnostics across India. It’s the culmination of two years of dedicated efforts to meet NABL’s rigorous standards.”
Dr. Preet Kaur, Vice President of Operations and Quality at Thyrocare, added, “Our labs are strategically positioned to minimize sample travel time and ensure faster, more precise reporting. We have heavily invested in state-of-the-art analyzers and advanced reagents to deliver unmatched accuracy.”
Thyrocare’s leadership team, including Chief Financial Officer Alok Jagnani, Chief Commercial Officer Nitin Chugh, and Chief Human Resources Officer Savita Sharma, acknowledged the collective efforts of the company’s operational, training, and administrative teams in achieving this historic milestone.
This recognition not only sets a new industry benchmark but also underscores Thyrocare’s unwavering commitment to quality excellence in diagnostics.
