Ujala Cygnus and Amandeep Hospitals Partners to Expand Healthcare Reach in North India

In a major step toward strengthening regional healthcare, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals has entered into a strategic partnership with Amandeep Hospitals, a renowned healthcare provider in Punjab and the Jammu & Kashmir region. As part of the agreement, Ujala Cygnus will acquire a significant stake in Amandeep Hospitals, marking a major expansion in its northern India presence.

Combining Institutional Strength with Clinical Legacy

Through this alliance, Ujala Cygnus will bring its institutional scale, advanced technology, and operational expertise to the table. Amandeep Hospitals will continue to offer its strong clinical foundation, regional trust, and legacy of compassionate patient care, built over decades of service.

As reported by expresshealthcare, Probal Ghosal, Chairman, Director, and Co-Founder of Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services, emphasized the shared mission behind the partnership. New Centres of Excellence and Robotics Expansion

As part of the collaboration, Dr. Avtar Singh will lead the Orthopaedics Centre of Excellence. He is the Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon and AI Joint Replacement Specialist across both hospital networks. In this expanded role, he will spearhead the rollout of a robotics program. The program will cover Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir, enhancing access to advanced orthopaedic care.

Significant Growth in Network and Capacity

This partnership marks Ujala Cygnus’ entry into the Punjab healthcare market, expanding its hospital network from 22 to 28 facilities. Ujala Cygnus will add five hospitals in Amritsar, Pathankot, Firozpur, and Srinagar. This will increase its bed capacity from 2,000 to nearly 2,800. This move also cements Ujala Cygnus’ position as the largest private hospital network in Jammu and Kashmir.
