Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) consists of pre-operative and post-operative strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes. It has various benefits across the fields of surgery including colorectal, gynaecology, orthopaedic, pancreaticoduodenectomy, hepatectomy, gastrectomy, esophagectomy and oncology. Manipal Hospitals has recently received certification for the programme and is the first hospital in South East Asia to do so.
