Gemini Scans becomes the only centre in Chennai with an active NABL-accredited PET-CT, MRI and CT facility.
Gemini Scans, a Chennai-based diagnostic imaging centre with more than 19 years of experience, has secured NABL accreditation across its imaging and pathology services. The accreditation covers MRI, CT, PET-CT, Ultrasound, Doppler, ECHO, X-ray, Digital Mammography and blood tests.
The accreditation extends to its centres in Aminjikarai, Vadapalani, Adyar, Mogappair and Ambattur. According to the organisation, Gemini Scans is currently the only centre in Chennai with an active NABL-accredited PET-CT facility, alongside accredited MRI and CT services.
Strengthening Quality in Diagnostic Services
The accreditation comes as NABL-certified diagnostic services gain importance in the healthcare referral ecosystem. Hospitals and clinicians increasingly seek accredited centres for advanced investigations such as PET-CT and MRI.
As per the Gemini Scans press release, the accreditation provides patients with an additional layer of independent validation of the quality processes followed across its imaging services.

Accreditation Covers Advanced Imaging Capabilities
NABL accreditation requires diagnostic facilities to meet defined quality and technical standards and undergo independent evaluation of their processes and equipment. It also supports documented processes, regular equipment monitoring and quality checks.
The accreditation additionally covers AI-enabled capabilities offered through imaging equipment, including calcium scoring, automated vessel tracking and radiation dose reduction.
Expanding Access to Preventive Healthcare
Gemini Scans plans to expand access to accredited diagnostic services across Chennai, particularly for patients and referring institutions seeking quality-assured advanced investigations.
