KIMS Hospitals has become the world’s first healthcare network to receive the AACI Multi-Site Accreditation from the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI). The achievement sets a new global benchmark for integrated healthcare quality, patient safety, governance, and clinical excellence across a multi-hospital network.
The accreditation covers seven KIMS Hospitals that operate under a unified quality management and governance framework. It recognizes the network’s ability to consistently implement and sustain internationally benchmarked standards across multiple hospitals.
A Unique Accreditation for an Integrated Healthcare Network
Unlike traditional accreditation programmes that evaluate individual hospitals, the AACI Multi-Site Accreditation assesses an entire healthcare network as one integrated system. The evaluation focuses on leadership, governance, patient safety, clinical excellence, standardized care delivery, risk management, and continuous quality improvement across all participating hospitals.
By meeting these rigorous international standards, KIMS Hospitals has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality, patient-centred care across all accredited facilities.
Speaking on the achievement, Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, KIMS Group of Hospitals, said, “This is a proud moment for every member of the KIMS family. Becoming the world’s first healthcare network to achieve AACI Multi-Site Accreditation reflects the culture of quality, teamwork, and patient-first care that we have built over the years. This recognition inspires us to raise the bar even higher.”
He added that one KIMS hospital first earned AACI accreditation three years ago. Building on that success, the group implemented the same quality framework across six more hospitals through standardized clinical protocols, robust governance systems, evidence-based practices, and a strong culture of continuous quality improvement.
Collective Effort Behind the Milestone
As per the press release, KIMS Group Director Anita credited the achievement to the collective efforts of doctors, nurses, quality teams, administrators, and leadership across all seven hospitals. She also acknowledged the significant contribution of Ms. Sushma Katuri, General Manager – Group Quality, KIMS Group, for her pivotal role in securing the accreditation. According to her, KIMS successfully implemented uniform clinical protocols, quality systems, and governance practices across its hospital network while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
AACI Applauds the Achievement
Congratulating KIMS Hospitals, Kreso Antonio Paliska, Group CEO of AACI, said, “KIMS Hospitals has set a new global benchmark. Achieving the world’s first AACI Multi-Site Accreditation demonstrates what is possible when leadership, quality, and patient safety become part of an organization’s everyday culture. We are proud to recognize KIMS for this historic achievement.”
Dheeraj Khatore, Regional CEO – AACI India, Middle East (MENA) and Africa, described the recognition as a milestone for global healthcare. He noted that KIMS Hospitals had demonstrated how world-class quality could be delivered consistently across seven hospitals under one integrated quality framework, creating a new international benchmark for healthcare networks.
A Model for Healthcare Networks Worldwide
This achievement strengthens KIMS Hospitals’ leadership in healthcare quality while providing a scalable model for integrated healthcare systems worldwide. As healthcare networks continue to expand, maintaining consistent standards across multiple facilities has become increasingly important.
The AACI Multi-Site Accreditation reflects KIMS Hospitals’ commitment to innovation, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous quality improvement. More importantly, it assures patients that every accredited KIMS Hospital follows the same internationally benchmarked standards, ensuring a safe, consistent, and high-quality healthcare experience.
