The era of robotic surgery in urology has truly arrived. Patients, whether from urban or rural areas, increasingly demand minimally invasive procedures with smaller incisions. International experts agree that robotic surgery is now widely accepted as less painful and offering faster recovery, making it a preferred choice across the globe.

AINU Hosts Robo-Lap 2025

The Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU), India’s largest single-speciality hospital chain for urology and nephrology, successfully hosted Robo-Lap 2025, one of the country’s most significant conferences on robotic and laparoscopic advancements in urology. More than 1,000 urologists from India, the UK, USA, Belgium, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka attended the event. Together, they discussed complex urological cases with an esteemed panel of experts.

AINU created this platform to transform the conference into a vibrant hub for clinical knowledge exchange. It also advanced future-ready surgical practices and shaped global perspectives to improve patient outcomes.

Two Days of Academic Exchange

Over two days, Robo-Lap 2025 featured complex case discussions and hands-on workshops. It also hosted high-level deliberations on emerging technologies shaping urology and nephrology. The sessions provided participants with practical insights into advanced techniques and broadened their understanding of future innovations.

Leadership Perspectives

Speaking about the conference, Dr. Mallikarjuna C, Managing Director & Chief Consultant Urologist, AINU, emphasized,
“At AINU, we believe advancing patient care begins with advancing clinical knowledge. Robo-Lap 2025 was not only about showcasing innovations—it was about creating a forum for specialists worldwide to engage, share insights, and reimagine the future of urology care. By curating platforms of this scale, we ensure that the urology community remains at the forefront of breakthroughs in robotics and minimally invasive surgery.”

He further highlighted the growing awareness among patients:
“Today, whether urban or rural, patients want smaller incisions because they know it reduces pain, ensures faster recovery, and helps them return quickly to normal life. Yet, training in such procedures has not traditionally been part of medical college curricula. Therefore, this conference proved invaluable for practitioners, who are now better equipped to take these skills back to their regions and deliver improved care.”
