Amaha, a Mumbai-based integrated mental healthcare organisation, is set to close a ₹100 crore fundraise to expand its hospital and clinic network and strengthen access to specialist mental healthcare across India. The organisation aims to support people living with moderate to severe mental illnesses and provide better care for their families.
Investors Back Amaha’s ₹100 Crore Fundraise
The funding round includes participation from existing investors Lightbox Ventures and Fireside Ventures, along with London-based life skills platform Sandbox International Holdings Limited (SIHL), Nithin Kamath through Rainmatter, and the family offices of Shreyas Shibulal, Ashish Bharat Ram and Adarsh Jalan. Additionally, the ₹100 crore round includes ₹10 crore in debt financing from Alteria Capital. This investment will support Amaha’s expansion plans and strengthen its ability to deliver specialised mental healthcare services.
Expanding Hospitals and Clinics Across India
With the fresh capital, Amaha plans to establish new hospitals and clinics in key Indian cities. The organisation will also strengthen its clinical teams and invest in the technology and infrastructure required to deliver high-quality, specialist mental healthcare to a wider population. As its network expands, Amaha will continue to enhance clinical training and supervision. It also plans to broaden its range of evidence-based treatments and standardised clinical protocols to ensure consistent care across its facilities.
Investing in AI and Technology-Enabled Mental Healthcare
Alongside physical expansion, Amaha will invest in technology to improve treatment coordination and clinical outcomes. Its plans include developing AI-enabled tools for patient triage and clinician support, as well as data analytics capabilities that help healthcare professionals monitor progress and coordinate treatment more effectively. As reported by biospectrumindia.com, these investments will enable clinicians to provide more personalised, evidence-based care across Amaha’s digital platforms, outpatient clinics and hospitals. Through this integrated approach, the organisation aims to improve access to specialist mental healthcare and strengthen the quality and consistency of treatment across India.
