Apollo Hospitals has announced a strategic collaboration with Precisio Biotix to accelerate the development and clinical adoption of lysin-based antimicrobials in India. The partnership marks a significant step in the country’s fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) by promoting innovative treatment options for drug-resistant infections.
The collaboration will focus on translational research, clinical validation, and potential deployment of lysin-based therapies across Apollo Hospitals’ network, particularly for infectious diseases where current treatment options remain limited.

Lysins are a new class of precision antimicrobials that rapidly destroy bacterial cell walls, disrupt biofilms, and selectively eliminate disease-causing bacteria without contributing to antimicrobial resistance.
