BPL Medical Technologies Acquires Yozma BMtech to Strengthen Bone Health Diagnostics

BPL Medical Technologies has acquired Yozma BMtech Co, a company specialising in bone mineral density (BMD) diagnostic solutions. Through this strategic acquisition, BPL aims to strengthen its imaging and diagnostics portfolio, particularly in preventive healthcare, bone health, and women’s health.

Launch of Advanced Bone Density Systems in Key Markets

Following the acquisition, BPL Medical Technologies has introduced BM Tech’s bone mineral density measuring systems in India and Dubai. These systems are designed to support screening and monitoring for conditions such as Osteoporosis and other bone-related disorders.

According to the company, the launch is intended to improve access to reliable diagnostic tools that enable early detection and monitoring of bone health.

Advanced Diagnostic Features for Accurate Assessment

As reported by Express Healthcare, the bone mineral density systems combine advanced diagnostic capabilities with patient-centric design. Notably, the devices offer high-speed scanning with high-resolution imaging while maintaining low radiation exposure.

In addition, the systems use fan-beam technology with multi-channel detectors that measure bone density across multiple anatomical sites. Certain models also support whole-body bone densitometry and body composition analysis, thereby providing comprehensive diagnostic insights.

Furthermore, the compact design allows the machines to operate efficiently in clinical environments with limited space, making them suitable for hospitals and diagnostic centres.

Addressing the Growing Need for Preventive Diagnostics

The company noted that the launch responds to the growing demand for preventive diagnostics driven by ageing populations, increasing prevalence of osteoporosis, and lifestyle-related health risks.

Moreover, integrating BM Tech’s technology strengthens BPL’s diagnostic portfolio while expanding its presence in the women’s health segment, where bone density assessment plays a critical role in managing post-menopausal health risks.

Leadership Perspective on the Acquisition

Commenting on the development, Shravan Subramanyam, Managing Director of BPL Medical Technologies, said the acquisition represents an important step in expanding the company’s preventive healthcare capabilities.

“Bone health, particularly among women and ageing populations, requires greater focus on early detection and monitoring. By bringing advanced bone mineral density technology to key markets, we aim to improve access to reliable screening solutions and support better clinical outcomes,” he said.
