DUSQ has started shipping its behind-the-ear sleep regulation device to Kickstarter backers in the US, ahead of its wider retail launch planned for September 2026. Instead of entering the crowded sleep tracker market, the company developed what it calls the world’s first closed-loop sleep regulation system that actively improves sleep in real time.
Built and Tested in India
The company designed, tested, and clinically evaluated the device at its in-house sleep lab in India. According to the company, the lightweight device monitors the autonomic nervous system and delivers adaptive vagus and vestibular nerve stimulation whenever sleep is disrupted, helping users return to deeper sleep.
As per the press release, DUSQ’s proprietary sleep lab has generated over 50 million physiological data points. The company has completed one clinical trial, is conducting another, holds CDSCO certification in India, and uses an FDA-cleared stimulation modality for insomnia. It reports improvements of 31% in deep sleep, 38% in heart rate variability, and a 22% reduction in night awakenings.
US Milestone and Growth Plans
The US launch follows adoption by more than 2,000 users in India and a Kickstarter waitlist of over 10,000 people. DUSQ also claims to have surpassed previous Indian health-tech campaigns on Kickstarter, including Ultrahuman’s Ring campaign. The milestone comes less than two years after the startup secured funding on Shark Tank India.
The company recently raised a seed round of around USD 3 million led by Fireside Ventures, with participation from Antler India and Climber Capital.
Expanding Team in India
As it prepares for its US retail rollout, DUSQ is hiring for more than 50 roles across engineering, biotechnology, product design, growth, customer success, sleep coaching, and operations. The company is seeking professionals interested in developing new technologies at the intersection of hardware, software, and sleep science.
