Even Hospital Secures NABH 6th Edition Accreditation Within First Year

Even Hospital, Race Course Road, has secured accreditation under the NABH 6th Edition standards within its first year of operation. It is the ninth hospital in Bengaluru to receive NABH 6th Edition accreditation and the 59th to receive full NABH accreditation.

Focus on Clinical Outcomes

The NABH 6th Edition places greater emphasis on patient outcomes, clinical governance, digital health and continuous quality improvement, rather than process documentation alone. Even Hospital was assessed across more than 570 parameters covering patient safety, infection prevention, medication management and clinical quality.

As per the press release, the hospital’s EMR and AI-powered clinical governance platform support real-time monitoring of the patient journey, while its managed care model tracks outcomes after discharge, including Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).

Clinical Outcomes Reported

During its first year, the hospital reported 1,37,796 specialist consultations and 1,255 discharges, while supporting more than 40,000 members through post-discharge care. It also reported:

  • 40% reduction in average hospital stay
  • Less than 1% unplanned readmissions
  • Zero post-operative infections across tracked surgical cohorts
  • More than 200 hospitalisations avoided through early intervention

Expansion Plans

Even Hospitals plans to establish four to five additional hospitals across Bengaluru over the next 12 months, using the NABH 6th Edition framework for clinical and operational processes.

According to Animesh Roy, CEO, Even Hospitals, the accreditation validates the hospital’s focus on measurable quality, technology-enabled clinical decision-making and improved patient outcomes.
