Galgotias University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Felix Hospital, Greater Noida, to enhance clinical education and skill development for students of its School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) and School of Nursing.
Under the partnership, students will receive structured clinical exposure, compulsory internships, competency-based training, and hands-on experience with advanced medical technologies. They will also learn NABH quality standards, patient safety protocols, and professional healthcare practices at Felix Hospital’s two NABH-accredited multispecialty facilities, which together have a capacity of 400 beds.
Practical Learning Across Healthcare Programmes
Students pursuing Physiotherapy, Cardiovascular Technology, Laboratory Sciences, Optometry, and Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology will gain practical experience in their respective fields. Nursing students will strengthen their clinical skills through hospital rotations after training in the university’s advanced simulation laboratories.
As per the Business Standard, the collaboration will also enable students to work under experienced clinicians, technologists, and nurses, helping them develop competencies aligned with the curriculum prescribed by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions.
Research and Community Healthcare
Besides clinical training, the partnership will promote interdisciplinary research, workshops, and continuing professional education. It also aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world healthcare delivery.
The agreement further expands Galgotias University’s engagement with the regional healthcare ecosystem. Recently, the university upgraded the Community Health Centre at Dadha in Greater Noida by strengthening its physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit with modern equipment and trained professionals, improving access to healthcare in rural areas.
