Generic Remedy Crosses 700 Franchise Outlets Across 9 States

Generic Remedy, the True MRP generic pharmacy brand operated by First Remedy Pharmacies Private Limited, has crossed 700+ retail franchise outlets across nine states, less than two years after its November 2024 launch.

Expanding Across India

The company currently operates across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, the Northeast, Uttarakhand, Delhi NCR and Punjab, primarily through its Retail Pharmacy Shop-In-Shop model.

Its portfolio includes more than 1,000 products, covering chronic-care medicines, OTC products, supplements and cosmetics. The company sources medicines from WHO-GMP-certified plants to maintain quality and safety standards.

Franchise Growth and Future Plans

As per the company’s press release, the 700-outlet milestone reflects growing partner confidence and demand for affordable pharmacy retail, said Rajesh Kumar, CEO, Generic Remedy.

The company plans to build a network across 100 major cities and reach 10,000 outlets by 2031. Its franchise support includes inventory management, billing software, staff training, digital marketing and business analytics.

Under the FOFO model, franchisees require an estimated investment of ₹8–9 lakh, covering franchise fees, infrastructure, initial stock, IT, licensing and marketing. Generic Remedy expects break-even in 6–8 months, subject to applicable terms.

The company plans to strengthen its presence in existing markets, expand into southern and western India, and widen its product range while maintaining WHO-GMP standards.
