Recruitment Drive Completed
The Haryana government has completed the recruitment of 430 medical officers to strengthen healthcare services across the state. The new appointments are aimed at improving medical facilities at district and sub-divisional civil hospitals and ensuring better access to specialised treatment.
Specialists to Improve Hospital Services
The newly recruited doctors include specialists in surgery, anaesthesia, orthopaedics, paediatrics, psychiatry, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynaecology, along with several other medical fields.
As per the Hindustan Times, the government has planned the postings based on the requirements of different healthcare institutions. Consequently, hospitals are expected to have better access to specialised doctors and provide more comprehensive treatment to patients.
Greater Focus on Rural Areas
The government is also working to improve healthcare availability in rural areas. MBBS medical officers will be posted at Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) across Haryana.
This move will help patients access doctors closer to their homes and may also reduce the burden on larger government hospitals. Moreover, filling vacant positions at these centres will strengthen primary healthcare services.
Doctors to Join Within 15 Days
The newly appointed medical officers must join their respective postings within 15 days of receiving their appointment letters. The government expects the appointments to strengthen the public healthcare workforce and improve the delivery of medical services across Haryana.
