Haryana to Monitor Every Pregnancy Through SAMRIDDHI Portal

Digital Tracking of Maternal Care

The Haryana government has made the registration of every pregnancy on the SAMRIDDHI portal mandatory to improve maternal and neonatal healthcare. Each pregnant woman will receive a unique SAMRIDDHI ID, allowing her pregnancy-related health records to remain accessible through a single digital record.

Focus on High-Risk Pregnancies

As per the Hindustan Times, the portal will be integrated with the state-level command centre and the 102 Maternal and Child Health Call Centre. This will help authorities identify high-risk pregnancies, arrange timely referrals and monitor women throughout pregnancy, delivery and the postpartum period.

Moreover, the system will cover women receiving care at government and private hospitals, as well as medical colleges. High-risk cases will receive regular follow-up, while the government will focus on complete pregnancy registration, institutional deliveries and continuous newborn monitoring.

Strengthening Continuity of Care

The upcoming 102 call centre will have trained nurses who will provide guidance and help pregnant women reach appropriate healthcare facilities. Birth registration will also be linked to the SAMRIDDHI ID, creating a more connected system for maternal and child health monitoring.
