Mahajan Imaging and Labs entered into a strategic joint venture with Neuberg Diagnostics to expand its pathology and wellness services and strengthen its integrated diagnostics network across North India. Under the partnership, Mahajan Imaging and Labs will become the exclusive partner of Neuberg Diagnostics across seven North Indian states. As part of the agreement, Mahajan Imaging and Labs will also take over Neuberg’s existing laboratory operations in Noida, Lucknow and Jammu. The joint venture will be led by Kabir Mahajan, who will serve as its chief executive officer.
Combining Imaging, Pathology and Advanced Diagnostics
The partnership combines Mahajan Imaging and Labs’ more than 35 years of expertise in radiology, nuclear medicine, PET-CT and advanced diagnostics with Neuberg Diagnostics’ capabilities in pathology, genomics and wellness services. Furthermore, the companies plan to expand advanced diagnostic testing in emerging areas such as genomics, metabolomics, proteomics and molecular pathology. This broader portfolio is expected to help healthcare providers access more integrated diagnostic solutions.
Integrated Diagnostics for Comprehensive Patient Evaluation
The collaboration comes as diagnostic evaluation increasingly depends on insights from multiple disciplines. By bringing together pathology, imaging, nuclear medicine and genomics, the joint venture aims to create a more comprehensive diagnostic ecosystem across North India. Dr G.S.K. Velu, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Neuberg Diagnostics, said the partnership provides an opportunity to develop a more comprehensive diagnostics presence in the region.
Scaling Pathology Capabilities and Infrastructure
According to Mahajan Imaging and Labs Founder and Chairman Dr Harsh Mahajan, the partnership will help the company accelerate its pathology capabilities by adding scale, infrastructure and specialised expertise. In addition, the joint venture plans to invest in laboratory infrastructure, sample collection capabilities and advanced diagnostic testing. Consequently, Mahajan Imaging and Labs expects to expand its geographic presence and strengthen pathology services without having to develop every capability independently.
Focus on Digitalisation, AI and Faster Turnaround
The immediate focus will be on strengthening pathology, genomics and wellness services, while also improving collection networks, sample logistics, digital systems and diagnostic turnaround times. Kabir Mahajan, CEO of the joint venture, said the company also sees significant potential for technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in areas such as quality control, workflow management and diagnostic reporting. As reported by newindianexpress.com, the partnership is expected to strengthen Mahajan Imaging and Labs’ integrated diagnostics capabilities while expanding access to advanced pathology, genomics and wellness services across North India.
