Kerala’s Local Self-Government Minister M. B. Rajesh laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art robotic rehabilitation hospital at Malamakkavu near Anakkara. Several dignitaries attended the ceremony, including MLA K.T. Jaleel, former MLA V.T. Balaram, Panchayat President Ambika Teacher, Africa GenRobotics Director Justice Pitso, and other prominent guests.

Boosting Medical Innovation in Kerala

Addressing the gathering, Minister M.B. Rajesh highlighted Kerala’s growing potential in medical innovation. He stated that projects like G-Life Healthcare demonstrate the State’s capacity to integrate advanced technology into healthcare delivery.

Moreover, he emphasized that by combining medical science with cutting-edge robotics, the upcoming hospital will significantly improve the quality of life for individuals facing physical challenges.

Launch of G-Life Healthcare

As per the press release, the new venture, ‘G-Life’, has been launched by GenRobotics Co-Founder Mr. Vimal Govind and Kolkata-based education entrepreneur Mr. T.K. Gopalan.

Through this initiative, the founders aim to bring advanced neuro-rehabilitation solutions to India, thereby reducing dependence on overseas treatment options and enhancing accessibility to world-class care within the country.

Advanced Neuro-Rehabilitation Services

The hospital will specialize in restoring mobility for patients affected by paralysis, spinal cord injuries, accidents, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson’s disease. By integrating medical expertise with advanced robotic systems and personalized treatment plans, the facility will deliver structured and measurable rehabilitation outcomes.

As a result, patients can expect faster recovery timelines and improved functional independence.

Introduction of ‘G Gaiter’ and Cutting-Edge Robotics

Notably, the hospital will feature the advanced ‘G Gaiter’ system for robotic gait training, developed by GenRobotics. This innovative system will assist patients in relearning walking patterns through precision-controlled robotic support.

In addition, G-Life will introduce GenRobotics’ latest upper-body rehabilitation robots—marking their first-ever global deployment. These technologies will expand the scope of robotic therapy beyond lower-limb recovery, ensuring comprehensive rehabilitation.

Integrated Care with Comfort and Convenience

To further enhance patient experience, the hospital will provide dedicated ‘work-from-home’ spaces for individuals who wish to continue their professional commitments during treatment. The campus will also include accommodation facilities for caregivers and companions, ensuring holistic support.

Vision for Meaningful Healthcare Innovation

G-Life Healthcare Co-Founder Mr. T.K. Gopalan described the project as the realization of a long-cherished dream to build something impactful within the country.

Echoing this sentiment, Farhan Yasin, Cluster Head & CEO, KIMS Kerala, stated that the collaboration between KIMS’ clinical expertise and GenRobotics’ advanced technology will significantly improve treatment outcomes for patients struggling to regain mobility.

Through this strategic partnership and technology-driven approach, G-Life aims to redefine neuro-rehabilitation in India and position Kerala as a hub for advanced robotic healthcare solutions.
