Kerala Startup Mission, in collaboration with Institute of Advanced Virology, has launched the national-level Virology Innovation Cohort, a six-month programme designed to support startups and innovators working on solutions in virology, emerging infections, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
Programme to Support Innovation and Commercialisation
The initiative will provide scientific mentorship, product development support, sector-specific incubation facilities, and exposure to the startup ecosystem. In addition, the programme will create opportunities for innovators to adopt validated technologies developed by IAV through technology transfer, thereby enabling venture creation and commercialisation.
Focus Areas Include Diagnostics, Vaccines, and AMR Solutions
As per the press release, the cohort will focus on transforming promising ideas into market-ready products across several critical areas. These include diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccine and immunology platforms, genomics and bioinformatics innovations, viral technologies, and phage-based interventions aimed at combating antimicrobial resistance.
Applications Open Till June 10, 2026
Startups and innovators can apply for the programme until June 10, 2026, through the official application portal.
