More Seats for MBBS and BDS
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has added 550 MBBS and BDS seats from three private medical colleges for the second round of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
The additional seats come from NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Medical College, and Ranjeet Deshmukh Medical College. The move aims to provide more opportunities for students seeking admission to medical and dental courses.
Updated Seat Allocation
According to the Free Press Journal, the newly added seats include 400 MBBS and 150 BDS seats. Of these, 40% will be available to Maharashtra candidates, while the remaining 60% will be filled through the All-India quota, including NRI candidates.
What Students Should Do
Candidates participating in CAP Round 2 should check the revised seat matrix and admission guidelines before filling their preferences. The additional seats could give students more choices during the counselling process.
