Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate key healthcare infrastructure projects at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, on July 17. The projects include the Advanced Mother and Child Centre and the Advanced Neurosciences Centre, along with the foundation stone for a 150-bed Critical Care Hospital Block.
Boost to Advanced Medical Care
These facilities will expand PGIMER’s capacity to provide specialised treatment and improve access to advanced healthcare services. The new centres aim to support patients with complex neurological conditions, maternal and child health needs, and critical care requirements.
Focus on Healthcare Expansion
As per the Economic Times, PGIMER Director Prof. Vivek Lal highlighted that these projects mark an important step in strengthening the institute’s healthcare infrastructure and improving patient care across the region.
With these additions, PGIMER aims to enhance specialised medical services, increase treatment capacity, and provide better healthcare facilities for people across northern India.
