Manipal Health to Acquire 100-Bed Kinder Women’s Hospital for ₹130 Crore

Manipal Health Enterprises (MHEL) will acquire the 100-bed Kinder Women’s Hospital in Bengaluru for ₹130 crore in cash, strengthening its presence in the city’s growing Whitefield region.

The company has signed a Business Transfer Agreement with Kindorama Healthcare to acquire the hospital’s operations and assets. The transaction is expected to close within 90 days, subject to regulatory and customary approvals.

Strengthening Women’s Healthcare

Commissioned in 2022, Kinder Women’s Hospital is located in Doddanekundi, Whitefield. The acquisition will expand Manipal Health’s existing healthcare network in the region and strengthen its women’s healthcare services.

As per Business Standard, the deal follows Manipal Health’s recent ₹9,275-crore IPO and its ongoing acquisition-led expansion strategy.

Focus on Strategic Growth

The acquisition comes as Manipal Health increasingly balances selective acquisitions with organic expansion. The company said the deal will complement its existing healthcare ecosystem and strengthen its presence in Bengaluru’s fast-growing Whitefield micro-market.
