Max Healthcare, one of India’s largest private healthcare providers, and Medtronic, a global healthcare technology leader, have inaugurated the Max-Medtronic Skill Lab. The facility is located at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. This state-of-the-art facility aims to advance training in minimally invasive surgical techniques. It also reinforces both organizations’ commitment to clinical excellence and medical education.
Advancing Medical Education and Patient Awareness
This collaboration focuses on enhancing education in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Beyond training, the Skill Lab will educate patients and caregivers about the benefits of advanced minimally invasive procedures. These include faster recovery, smaller incisions, reduced infection risk, and minimal tissue trauma compared to conventional surgeries.
Comprehensive Training for Healthcare Teams
As per the Medtronic press release, the Max-Medtronic Skill Lab offers structured, hands-on training modules. These are designed for surgeons, nurses, OT technicians, and paramedics. Programs range from introductory workshops to advanced upskilling sessions. Max Healthcare’s expert in-house faculty, supported by Medtronic, will lead these sessions. The goal is to ensure practical, high-impact learning experiences for all participants.
Commitment to Continuous Learning and Clinical Excellence
Dr. Sandeep Budhiraja, Group Medical Director at Max Healthcare, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating:
“At Max Healthcare, we are committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence. The Max-Medtronic Skill Lab is a significant step toward creating a structured, high-impact training ecosystem for our medical professionals. This initiative not only aims to improve clinical competencies but also empowers patients and caregivers through increased awareness of advanced surgical techniques.”
Medtronic’s Role in Empowering Healthcare Professionals
Mandeep Singh Kumar is the Managing Director and Vice President of Medtronic India. He emphasized Medtronic’s focus on education and innovation, saying:
“This collaboration with Max Healthcare reaffirms our unwavering commitment to advancing access to high-quality healthcare through education, innovation, and strategic partnerships. The Max-Medtronic Skill Lab is designed to provide hands-on training and foster continuous learning in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Through this initiative, Medtronic seeks to empower healthcare professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to deliver better outcomes and transform patient care.”
Focus on Upskilling Paramedical Staff
As part of this partnership, Max Healthcare and Medtronic will prioritize regular upskilling programs for paramedical staff.
