MedySeva, a health tech platform offering telemedicine and in-person doctor consultations in rural and semi-urban areas, has raised ₹4 crore in a seed round led by Unicorn India Ventures. The company plans to use the funds to expand its hybrid “phygital” healthcare clinics across tier 2 and tier 3 cities, strengthen its telemedicine infrastructure, scale patient capacity, and build a strong on-ground operational and clinical team to support growth.

Expanding Access to Rural and Semi-Urban Healthcare

Over the past 12 months, MedySeva has delivered more than 1 lakh consultations in underserved regions, achieving a 60% patient repeat rate. The company aims to double this figure to 2 lakh consultations annually within the next 18 months. Additionally, MedySeva has partnered with leading medical colleges to set up satellite clinics that ensure timely and effective care for rural patients.

As per the press release, the platform currently features doctors from over 10 medical specialties, including general practice, neurology, and gynecology, among others. To create an end-to-end healthcare ecosystem, MedySeva has also partnered with local pharmacies and healthcare providers, improving continuity of care for patients.

Driving the Next Phase of Growth

Commenting on the funding, Dr. Vishesh Kasliwal, Founder and CEO of MedySeva, said, “Our mission is simple yet powerful — to make quality healthcare accessible to every Indian, regardless of geography. This funding strengthens our ability to scale our hybrid healthcare model, connecting city-based specialists with patients in underserved regions. We are now ready to accelerate growth by building an integrated doctor and hospital network that bridges India’s healthcare divide.”

Investor Confidence in MedySeva’s Model

Bhaskar Majumdar, Managing Partner at Unicorn India Ventures, emphasized the critical healthcare access gap in India. “As we move deeper into the country, the doctor-to-patient ratio becomes increasingly concerning. MedySeva is addressing this issue through technology, ensuring that quality healthcare services reach rural and semi-urban populations. Their scalable model, backed by strong partnerships and robust digital infrastructure, positions them well for rapid growth,” he said.

Ambitious Roadmap for Expansion

Looking ahead, MedySeva plans to launch over 500 phygital healthcare centers across India within the next 18 to 24 months. The company also intends to enter five new states through institutional collaborations and government partnerships. MedySeva uses its telemedicine platform to build a unified rural healthcare ecosystem. It integrates city-based doctors, medical colleges, and local healthcare providers to create a seamless care network.
