The Ministry of Ayush is actively participating in the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, a national health campaign launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In collaboration with State and Union Territory (UT) administrations, Ayush research and educational institutions, industry partners, NGOs, and cooperative societies, the Ministry will conduct a series of activities aimed at promoting women’s health and screening for major ailments.

16-Day Campaign for Women’s Health

This 16-day campaign will organize:

  • Health check-ups and screening camps for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), cancers, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease
  • Maternal and child healthcare services for improved family well-being
  • Awareness programs on nutrition, hygiene, and voluntary blood donation to strengthen public health efforts

As reported by pib.gov.in, the campaign will also highlight Ayush treatment modalities for anaemia, NCDs, and polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), focusing on effective solutions for women and children.

Promoting Holistic Wellness

The initiative places strong emphasis on women’s health and empowerment through:

  • Lifestyle counselling kiosks for personalised health advice
  • Yoga sessions and “Prakriti Pareekshan” for preventive care
  • Awareness campaigns in schools, on radio and television, and across social media platforms

The Ministry will distribute home remedies and nutrition kits. It will also educate communities about medicinal plants and herbal teas that support women’s well-being.

Tackling Modern Health Challenges

Recognizing the impact of workplace stress, the campaign will offer Ayurveda-inspired wellness programs and yoga-based mindfulness practices to help women counter corporate burnout and maintain mental balance.

Community-Led Awareness Initiatives

Self-Help Groups at the Panchayat level will mobilize communities through awareness rallies and pledge-taking events. The campaign aims to deliver comprehensive women’s healthcare—from pregnancy to palliative care—while sharing daily Ayush health tips on topics such as Anaemia-Free Women, Fit Mother, Stress-Free Women, Herbal Nutrition, and Bone Health through social media channels.
