RAV Hosts 30th National Seminar on Paediatric Ayurveda

Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Ayush, inaugurated its 30th National Seminar on “Management of Illness & Wellness in Paediatrics through Ayurveda” at the Scope Complex Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The two-day event aims to advance holistic paediatric healthcare by uniting Ayurveda scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students.

Eminent Dignitaries Grace the Inaugural Session

The inaugural session witnessed the presence of prominent dignitaries, including:

  • Vaidya Devendra Triguna, Padma Shri & Padma Bhushan awardee; President, Governing Body, RAV 
  • Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajagopala, Director, All India Institute of Ayurveda 
  • Vaidya Mukul Patel, Guru, CRAV; Governing Body Member, RAV 
  • Vaidya Rakesh Sharma, Governing Body Member, RAV 

Their participation reinforced the importance of Ayurveda in shaping the future of paediatric care.

Ayurveda’s Role in Child Health Highlighted

Building on the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and guided by Union Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Ayush, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, the seminar’s first day reaffirmed Ayurveda’s potential in paediatric healthcare. Experts emphasized that blending traditional wisdom with modern scientific validation can strengthen preventive child healthcare and address emerging health challenges holistically.

Minister’s Message on Ayurveda’s Importance

In a written message, Shri Prataprao Jadhav stated:
“Ayurveda has always placed child health as the cornerstone of a flourishing society. This National Seminar is a timely initiative to highlight Ayurveda’s comprehensive approach to both illness management and wellness promotion in paediatric care. The deliberations here will enrich practitioners, researchers, and students, advancing paediatric healthcare through Ayurveda.”

Leaders Acknowledge Growth of Ayush Sector

Vaidya Devendra Triguna praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for elevating Yoga and Ayurveda globally and commended RAV’s focus on paediatric wellness. He also acknowledged the contribution of the All India Institute of Ayurveda in strengthening the Ayush sector.

Prof. (Dr.) Manjusha Rajagopala highlighted the growing public trust in Ayush since the Ministry’s inception. She expressed gratitude for the government’s strong support and the dedication of Ayush professionals.

Dr. Vandana Siroha, Director, RAV, reiterated the seminar’s significance in achieving the vision of “Swasth Balak, Swasth Bharat.” She also underlined the importance of Kaumarbhritya, Ayurveda’s paediatric branch, for its holistic approach to child wellness.

Souvenir and Research Posters Unveiled

As reported by pib.gov.in, the event also marked the release of a Souvenir and research posters, showcasing significant achievements in paediatric Ayurveda.
