ROOTS IX, a national conference on therapeutics in dermatology, concluded successfully at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune. Held from June 26 to 28, the conference brought together around 1,000 delegates, including dermatologists, academicians, clinicians, researchers and postgraduate students from across the country.
Focus on Emerging Therapies
Held under the theme “Precision Therapeutics in Dermatology – Right Drug, Right Procedure, Right Laser,” the conference featured expert lectures, panel discussions, award paper presentations and free paper sessions. Participants discussed recent advances in clinical, procedural and aesthetic dermatology, with sessions covering acne, psoriasis, vitiligo, pigmentation disorders, pediatric dermatology, trichology and laser therapies.
Emphasis on Knowledge Exchange
Hon’ble Dr. Bhagyashree P. Patil, Pro-Chancellor of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, said the conference promoted continuous medical education by bringing together experts and young doctors to exchange knowledge and improve patient care. Hon’ble Dr. Yashraj Patil, Trustee & Treasurer, highlighted the role of such academic platforms in helping clinicians stay updated with evolving treatment approaches.

As per the press release, the conference also provided researchers and postgraduate students with an opportunity to present their work and interact with leading experts.
