ShardaCare Institute of Cardiac Sciences at ShardaCare-Healthcity conducted a free Cardiac and Varicose Vein Consultation Camp for residents of Greater Noida. The camp offered specialist consultations and ECG screening, while patients could avail of 50% discounts on ECHO and Colour Doppler tests.
The camp, held at the hospital in Knowledge Park III from 10 am to 4 pm, targeted people experiencing chest discomfort, breathlessness, palpitations, high blood pressure, leg swelling, prominent veins, or persistent leg heaviness and pain.
Encouraging Early Evaluation
As per press release, the initiative aimed to encourage people to seek timely evaluation of recurring cardiac and vascular symptoms. Patients could discuss their symptoms with specialists and receive guidance on further testing or treatment. Colour Doppler services were available through prior appointment.
Dr Akhil K Rustagi, Senior Director and HOD, Cardiology, ShardaCare-Healthcity, said that symptoms such as chest discomfort, breathlessness and palpitations should not always be attributed to age, lifestyle or stress. Similarly, persistent leg swelling and prominent veins may require specialist evaluation to determine the need for further testing or intervention.
Promoting Preventive Healthcare
Dr Kousar Shah, Group CEO, ShardaCare-Healthcity and Sharda Hospital, said community health camps can encourage people to seek medical care and identify potential health concerns at an early stage.
The camp formed part of ShardaCare-Healthcity’s community outreach programme to promote timely evaluation of cardiac and vascular symptoms. The ShardaCare Institute of Cardiac Sciences provides consultation, diagnostic evaluation and treatment support for various cardiac conditions.
