Free Heart Surgeries for Gujarat’s Needy Patients
Under this initiative, all underprivileged children and adults in Gujarat will receive heart surgeries completely free of cost at the Rajkot and Ahmedabad branches of the hospital. Initially, patients from six districts will be referred to the Ahmedabad unit for treatment.

National Reach: Gujarat Becomes the 9th Partner State
With this new agreement, Gujarat becomes the ninth state to partner with Shri Sathya Sai Heart Hospital. The hospital already treats patients from Odisha, Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, and the Union Territory of Leh-Ladakh. So far, the hospitals have served patients representing over 60% of India’s population.
State-of-the-Art Infrastructure for Service-Oriented Care
As per the press release, the Rajkot and Ahmedabad centers boast advanced medical infrastructure. The Kashindra hospital, in particular, features 310 beds, 4 operation theaters, 4 ICU-ICCU units, and a Cath Lab. It specializes in free pediatric cardiac surgeries, procedures that typically cost ₹3 to ₹5 lakhs in other hospitals.
India’s Largest Pediatric Cardiac Charitable Hospital
The Ahmedabad hospital is India’s largest charitable pediatric cardiac facility. It conducts thousands of surgeries for children with congenital heart conditions—at zero cost to their families.
A Model of Compassionate Healthcare
