TRIMTECH Therapeutics Appoints Dr. Mike Hutton to Scientific Advisory Board

TRIMTECH Therapeutics, a biotechnology company pioneering small molecule therapeutics that selectively degrade protein aggregates to combat neurodegenerative diseases, has appointed Dr. Mike Hutton to its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). According to the TRIMTECH Therapeutics press release, Dr. Hutton will provide strategic scientific guidance to advance the company’s targeted protein degradation (TPD) programs, including its TRIMTAC™ and TRIMGLUE™ pipelines focused on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

Dr. Hutton Brings Over 30 Years of Groundbreaking Experience

Dr. Hutton has accumulated more than three decades of experience in neurodegenerative disease research and drug development. He previously served as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Neurodegeneration Research as well as UK Site Scientific Leader at Eli Lilly and Company, where he directed discovery programs for Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and frontotemporal dementia.

Before his tenure at Eli Lilly, Dr. Hutton held senior roles at MSD and served as a Consultant and Professor of Neuroscience at the Mayo Clinic. While at Mayo, his team made pivotal contributions by identifying the genetic causes of frontotemporal dementia, including mutations in tau and progranulin.
