The Rajasthan government has launched a new digital communication platform, ‘e-Swasthya Samvad’, to enhance governance, transparency, and coordination within the state’s medical education department, officials announced on Sunday.

The initiative follows the direction of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Medical Education Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar and forms part of the state’s broader push to strengthen healthcare delivery through technology-driven reforms.

A Centralised Digital Interface for Health Stakeholders

Principal Secretary, Medical Education, Gayatri Rathore said the platform will function as a dedicated digital interface connecting all stakeholders involved in medical education and health services. By enabling real-time communication, the platform aims to support faster decision-making and more effective implementation of health programmes across the state.

Scheduled Virtual Interactions Twice a Week

Medical Education Commissioner Naresh Goyal explained that e-Swasthya Samvad will take place twice a week—every Tuesday and Thursday—via video conferencing.

Each session will be conducted in two structured phases. From 5 pm, senior officials including principals, medical superintendents, principal medical officers (PMOs), and heads of departments will participate in focused discussions. This will be followed by an open interaction from 6 pm, allowing faculty members, doctors, nursing staff, students, and members of the public to engage directly.

Wide-Ranging Agenda for Healthcare Administration

As reported by TOI, the platform will facilitate detailed discussions on key administrative and operational matters. These include budget announcements, directives from the Chief Minister’s Office, grievance redressal through portals such as CMIS and CP-Grams, implementation of health schemes, infrastructure development, procurement of medical equipment, and day-to-day operational challenges faced by medical colleges and hospitals.

Inclusive Participation and Structured Follow-Up

To ensure broad participation, stakeholders can submit issues and suggestions in advance through a Google form. However, officials clarified that participants may also raise concerns during the session without submitting a prior agenda.

Importantly, decisions taken during the meetings will be documented immediately. Concerned officials must submit action taken reports within 72 hours, ensuring timely follow-up and accountability, Goyal added.

Driving Accountability and Faster Decision-Making

Officials emphasised that e-Swasthya Samvad aims to reduce administrative delays, improve coordination across all levels of the medical education system, and promote transparency in decision-making.
