Vidal Health, India’s second-largest TPA service provider, and the Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, have announced a strategic partnership to strengthen national efforts in cervical cancer prevention and awareness.
Starting October 1, 2025, Vidal Health will become the first-of-its-kind platform to offer an end-to-end, cashless experience for the HPV vaccine. The digital journey will cover every step—from booking a doctor’s appointment at a preferred location, to providing consent, and receiving digital certification—all with zero paperwork.
Comprehensive, Managed Health Programme
The fully managed health programme will provide:
- Timely dosage reminders
- Adherence monitoring
- Efficient network management for continuity of care
These features will help improve completion rates for the multi-dose HPV vaccine schedule and ensure a seamless experience for users.
A Strong Push for Preventive Healthcare
Vidal Health, a 100% subsidiary of Bajaj Finserv Health, integrates the fragmented healthcare delivery ecosystem through its digital platform. It already offers a range of services including preventive care, OPD services, telemedicine, and wellness programs.
Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman & Managing Director, Bajaj Finserv, said:
“Our collaboration with Serum Institute marks a strong start to our vaccination programme. By equipping individuals and corporates with digital convenience to manage health proactively, we help them cut long-term healthcare costs and contribute to the nation’s sustained well-being.”
Bridging the Awareness and Access Gap
Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India, highlighted the impact of this partnership:
“The HPV vaccine is an important step in preventing cervical cancer, but wider access and awareness are key to its impact. Our collaboration with Vidal Health bridges that gap by using technology to deliver the vaccine efficiently and at scale, supporting our mission to make vaccines more accessible and improve public health outcomes.”
Making Healthcare More Inclusive
Neetha Uthaiah, Whole Time Director, Vidal Healthcare Services Ltd, added:
“This collaboration is a significant milestone in our journey toward inclusive healthcare. Beyond claims processing and wellness programmes, this initiative allows us to deliver transparent, preventive healthcare and reduce high hospitalisation and out-of-pocket expenses in India.”
A Connected, Technology-Driven Ecosystem
As reported by Express Healthcare, the initiative aligns vaccine manufacturers, healthcare providers, and national digital platforms like Aarogya Setu, creating a more connected healthcare ecosystem. It strengthens Vidal Health’s preventive care portfolio, which already includes doctor consultations, diagnostics, health check-ups, wellness programs, and health financing.
The HPV vaccine will be available directly on Vidal Health’s digital platform, eliminating intermediaries and delays. Users will benefit from:
- Digital registration
- Cashless payments
- Automated tracking of the multi-dose schedule
Corporate employees will have the flexibility to get vaccinated at their workplace or at any Vidal Health partner clinic. The programme aims to maximise transparency and adoption across all user groups, with affordable and inclusive pricing.
